Making Music and Making a Difference!

Savannah Square's very own Executive Director Kimberly Perkins was one of 10 vocalists selected from various senior living companies throughout the United States to perform in a music video for the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).

The song and video, “Every Day We Make a Difference,” served as the theme and opening song for the 2010 ALFA conference and Expo.

Kimberly was selected from more than 100 audition tapes.  Congratulations Kimberly!

Celebrating Five Star Senior Living's 10th Anniversary!

Savannah Square celebrated Five Star's 10th Anniversary by holding a resident and staff appreciation party. Of course the theme was "Five Star Spirit Day" with everyone encouraged to wear their best dressed stars. From Hollywood stars to stars and stripes, staff and residents dressed the part. Some staff even made their own attire to celebrate! The most popular attire was the "I Believe" T-Shirt.

Random drawings for gifts were held throughout the day for anyone participating or for anyone who submitted written responses to the following fun requests: What were you doing 10 years ago?, What are the 10 best moments in your life?, If you've been here 10 years, reminisce about your time here, and original Five Star Birthday poems. Many joined together in the afternoon for homemade cake and ice cream, dancing the afternoon away.
